Salve ragazzi, l'anno da lettori inizia alla grande, voglio iniziare l'anno proponendovi l'ultimo libro che ho letto, un'opera di una malinconia particolarmente elaborata, trilogia della città di K. di Ágota Kristóf.

Hi guys, the year from readers starts big, I want to start the year by proposing the last book I read, a work of a particularly elaborate melancholy, trilogy of the city of K. by Ágota Kristóf.

Il libro è composto dai tre romanzi della Kristóf: Il Grande Quaderno (Le Grande Chaier), La Prova (La Preuve) e La Terza Menzogna (Le Troisième Mensogne).

The book is composed of three novels by Kristóf: The Notebook (le grande chaier), The Proof (La Preuve) and The Third Lie (Le Troisième Mensogne).

L'opera racconta la vita di due gemelli (Klaus e Lucas T.) durante e dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, il luogo e gli anni non verranno mai espressamente citati nel libro.

The work tell the story of two twins (Klaus and Lucas T.) during and after the second world war, the place and the years will never be explicitly mentioned in the book.

Durante il primo racconto (il grande quaderno) la narrazione è in prima persona e viene raccontata dai due gemellini ancora bambini.

Il secondo racconto (la prova) è narrato invece in terza persona e racconta le vicende di Lucas, il bambino che restò nella città di K. Eccetto l'ultimo capitolo che racconta la storia di Klaus e del suo ritorno alla città di K.

L'ultima storia (la terza menzogna) è di nuovo narrata in prima persona, e vede il ritorno di Lucas alla città natale in cerca del fratello Klaus.

During the first story (The Notebook) the narration is in first person and is told by twins still child. Second story (The Proof) is narration instead in third person and tells the Lucas's story, the child who stayed in the city of K. 

The last story (The Thrid Lie) is again narrated in first person, and tells the return of Lucas to his hometown in search of his brother Klaus.

L'opera è scritta molto bene, ricca di dettagli che arricchiscono l'ambiente ed i personaggi, questi ultimi sono molto ben definiti

The work is very well written, full of details that enrich the environment and the characters, the latter (even the secondary ones) are very well defined, we can understand them

Perché leggerlo? Perché è un libro ricco di emozioni, carico di un nichilismo e pessimismo.

È molto interessante vedere come l'autrice racconti la guerra e le sue catastrofi attraverso gli occhi dei due bambini e dei personaggi a loro vicini. Il libro andrebbe poi letto per capire moltissime tristi dinamiche all'interno della società dell'epoca. 

Why read this book? Beacuse It's a book full of emotions, nihilism and pessimism .

It's very interesting  to see how the author talks about the war and his catastrophes throught the eyes of twins and charachters close to them. The book should be read to understand many tragic dynamics within the society of the time.

Insomma, io mi sento di consigliarvelo. È una di quelle lettura travolgenti che ti catturano pagina dopo pagina. 

In short, I would recommend this reading. It is one of those overwhelming readings that capture you page after page.
